A mini crib is the portable, lightweight version of the classic, full-sized crib. Portable mini cribs are often constructed from hardwoods but are lighter than conventional cribs because of their smaller size. Many popular models sport a traditional, linear design but would still look good in many modern houses and baby nurseries. Most models can be transformed to static cribs and toddler-beds, which is why they are also called “2-in-1 cribs”, which is in sharp contrast with 4-in-1 cribs that can be re-arranged to come up with a full sized bed.
Like other wooden baby furniture, mini cribs require some degree of manual assembly before one can use them. This is fairly ordinary, since a fully-assembled crib would be very difficult to ship and transport to your home. So it’s best to just follow easy instructions and assemble the crib yourself. One thing that should never be missing from the equation is the safety standards that the product has passed or exceeded. If no such declaration is made on the part of the retailer or manufacturer, one cannot be sure if the product is completely safe to use. Therefore, stick to retailers who are dedicated to providing quality products.
